Christmas Lights

Okay, so I'm sure you're sick of my posts by now, but I have pics of our MILLIONS of Christmas lights! I'm telling ya, Greg loves his lights. It's kind of embarrassing the ridiculous amounts we have, but it's fun, and he really gets into it. It's kind of sucked this year, because we have been having problems with parts of our electricity (just this one circuit) and it just so happens to be the circuit our outdoor lights, and our Christmas tree are on, so we haven't been able to turn them on. (I blame all his lights for causing the problems with our electricity. hehe, he doesn't think it's funny!) But here they are.

Here's the man of the house putting up the lights.

I helped a little! :)

I don't think this is very safe...

None of the snowmen lights work now.... :( But I made him get pathway lights, cuz I love them.

These are my favorite lights of all. We have them hung around the door.

Here they are!

Yes, there are more!

(P.S. He still wants more!)

Merry Christmas....

So, Shari emailed this to me, and I decided to blog it instead of email it!

Tis the Season to have a little fun!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I LOVE wrapping presents. It's my most favorite thing about Christmas presents. When I was younger, my mom and dad would always have me wrap their presents to each other. I LOVED it! Gift bags are easier though...I just prefer to wrap! :)

2. Real tree or artificial? Real ones remind me of Gram. She refused to get a fake tree, even when she was getting too old to water the tree herself. (She still did, but it wasn't easy for her to get down on the floor and crawl under the tree..) I was ALWAYS afraid that her tree would get to dry and catch on fire. She had those old fashioned lights, the ones with the big bulbs, so it worried me. The point...I love real trees because they remind me of her, but Greg and I have an artificial one that is BEAUTIFUL. 7 1/2 feet high, full..(we couldn't put the bottom branches on cuz our house is too small)

3. When do you put up the tree? Depends..I think last year we put it up BEFORE Thanksgiving. Whenever Greg gets in his moods to put up lights. This year we just barely did it on the 2nd. (We're having issues w/ our electricity, so we didn't put it up for a while....) We have it up, but we haven't plugged it in yet...

4. When do you take your tree down? We usually wait until January. I hate taking it down so soon after Christmas. It's like as soon as the decorations are down Christmas is over and done. Ya know?

5. Do you like eggnog? Never tried it actually..

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don't really remember...maybe my bear blanket (Still have it), this huge stamp set (like rubber stamps) that I LOVED, and this friendship bracelet making kit. (I was quite the crafty little girl)

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yeah. I have a cute little snowman one my mom gave me.

8. Hardest person to buy for? GREG!!!! I could ask him months in advance what he wanted, and he always says "I don't know, I don't really need anything." Even if that's true, I still want to buy him stuff. If there's something we want, we usually buy it whenever, so if there was something he wanted, he'd just buy it himself. So he's a pain to buy for. If anyone has ideas, LET ME KNOW!!!!

9. Easiest person to buy for? Myself...I know exactly what i want! :) lol, kidding, I really don't know though. Kennan probably, anything to do with sports!

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever got? Underwear and socks! Mom, I know they were necessities, but cmon, it's CHRISTMAS!!! :) (That reminds me....we always video taped opening presents, and evertime we'd open a present and say "what is it" Dad would say, "Underwear") haha...

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? I love mail, so I would prefer to mail them, however, Christmas season can get hectic, so it's easier to email them.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story....LOVE IT! When Brady and I were younger (about 4 years ago and before :) when we'd wake up at 2 in the morning, (we couldn't open presents until 6 with the rest of the family) We would look at our stocking stuff, then watch A Christmas Story over and over until everyone was awake

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Umm, well, I haven't started this year yet. Usually last minute....

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I don't think I have. That's weird...

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Hot chocolate

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? COLORED!!! You lame people with clear lights!!! What's your problem!!! Color is Christmasy...

17. Favorite Christmas song? Joy to the World (lol, it's a long story...) and Angels We Have Heard on Hgih

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I like staying at home. We always did when we were younger, and I plan to now. (I mean, for actual Christmas eve and day.) It's fun to visit family and all that, but I like staying home. I will admit though. It's kind of lame with just two people and no little kids (Brady) waking me u p early in the morning, but it's okay. I'll get used to it. (until we have our own kids)

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph (Much easier than trying to name the 7 dwarfs!)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? On present on Christmas Eve, the rest in the morning

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? RETAIL!!! People get ornery and selfish, and the Christmas spirit just kind of fades! Makes me so sad....I LOVE CHRISTMAS, and it bugs me when people are mean to me at work (and anywhere really).

Thanksgiving/Black Friday???

So, Thanksgiving this year was great. Greg and I both had to work so we decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner at our own house. We've done it the past two years, so we're pretty much pros at this turkey thing. I had to work EARLY Thanksgiving day (Yeah, Kmart can be pretty heartless :) So Greg had to make dinner. (Okay, to be honest, he probly would've done it even if I were here...) I did help out when I got home. I think I made the potatos and jello. Anyway. It was a delicious dinner, and though I was exhausted, it was nice to be able to relax with my husband and watch FOOTBALL all day long. Yes, I never was an NFL fan until I met Greg. I napped during the fourth quarter of the Packers game only to wake up (still half asleep) and ask Greg what time the cowboys played. Lol, it was a LONG day, and though I missed spending Thanksgiving with family, it was a GREAT Thanksgiving with just Greg and I.

Alrighty, so Black Friday. I have worked retail for 3 years, and I've been alive through 21 of them, and I NEVER knew until this year that they call it Black Friday. Messed up, huh? Anyway, that's not the point. For those of you who shopped early on this day...YOU'RE FREAKIN' CRAZY PEOPLE!!! and I can say that because I know first hand what it's like to be a worker in the middle of all these crazy people. Good heavens. I guess I can only laugh at the craziness and impatience of people on this day. It's unbelievable to me the way people act and how impatient they get. Good heavens. You're gonna wait in line no matter where you shop, stop complaining! Lol, it's just interesting, but I can only laugh! There's nothing else to do. I am vowing this 6th day of December of the year 2007 that I will NEVER be a super early Black Friday shopper!!! :) But for those of you who had fun with the shopping, I laugh! :) Anyway...that's my experience with my first known Black Friday!

Volleyball Banquet

So, we had our final volleyball banquet tonight. I missed the first half because I had to play for the Young Women's meeting..(can't think of the name right now...) Anyway. It went pretty well. We gave the girls awards, then the girls gave each other funny awards (i.e. diva award). The seniors (Morgan & Nicol) were in charge. Well, they gave Lacey and I awards too. Mine was the "Tightest Coach" award (they gave me a tie) because I am the "one they could talk to about anything." Sweet huh? I about cried. They love me. I'm gonna miss those two like crazy. They've been so much fun. It'll be tough next year without them. Then the whole team got together and gave Lacey and I each a $30 gift certificate to Iggy's and......the best one of all.....a free ONE HOUR MASSAGE!!! how sweet huh? I can't wait to get mine. It's much needed. lol...

VB Pics

They think they're models! The one on the far left is one of my good friends nicol, and the far right is morgan..(she and i worked together @ kmart, so we're pretty close) they're both seniors, and i'm gonna miss them SO MUCH! :(

Me and the head coach lacey. We have fun together.

They liked hanging out in our room...they think we're the coolest...

Here's most of the team....they're a fun bunch..but boy do they have a LOT of drama! :)

This is what happens when a 15 year old named Michelle get ahold of my camera....(Rakelle & Michelle....i love the sophomores)

It's kind of funny, when I tried to take pictures of Michelle, she didn't let me. But as soon as she got the camera....she went crazy taking pics of herself!!! what a nerd!

State Volleyball

So, state volleyball was this last weekend, and can I just say how glad I am that it's over! It was was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but between the girls' drama and all the stress, I am glad to have a break! The team got beat out in 2 games. They didn't play well at all the first game (played #1 Carbon, who went on to play in the state championship) But the second game against Ben Lomond was awesome. We totally should have won, but we played well, and I guess that's all we can ask for. Here are some random pics taken over the weekend. I absolutely love these girls and we had a blast together. (Oh, one downfall of the weekend...The first night we got there, one of the girls got REALLY sick, and was throwing up all night. We ended up putting her in the coaches room so the girls could get some sleep. Lacey (the head coach) and I shared a bed and let the sick girl take Lacey's. Well, while this girl was throwing up all night, Lacey was snoring, and I was waking up everytime Tess threw up, trying my hardest not to throw up myself...lol...good times!)

Okay, so i will post pictures later. my computer is being slow, but since I already typed all that, I don't want to have to do it again.

Twilight Quiz

so, I actually took the quiz a while ago, and guess who I was...Bella. Haha, told you so...she really didn't bug me. But that's who I was. I did it again today and came out as Jasper. so who really knows? maybe i'm an inbetween-er...

Halloween...

So, just for the record, i HATE Halloween. I think it's a stupid holiday, except for all of the yummy candy. But, Greg loves it so I let him decorate. He was counting down the days 'til October 1st so he could put up our decorations. We have more halloween decorations than Christmas. Sad, huh? anyway. Here is what our house looks like right NOW, he has plans to buy more lights...

This is Marcus....Marcus the carcas..

All done...

So, sadly, I am finished with the books! I wish the 4th was out already, but I suppose I can wait. I don't have any other series to wait for (like HARRY POTTER, since that's done) so it's good that I have something to look forward to. Anyway, my thoughts on the series. THEY ARE SO GOOD! I loved every part of them. I will admit though, I got anxious in the last book and skipped over some parts. I will probly have to go through and re-read all of them, cuz I have a horrible tendency to skim through parts that are really intense cuz I want to know what happens. Anyway. They are really good. (I even cried when Jake got hurt, that's how into it i was!) I do have to say though, that I don't understand why everyone is so frustrated with Bella. I didn't think she was bad at all...(maybe i didn't mind her, because she reminded me of myself..) but anyway. so I'm sad that they're done for now, but i LOVED THEM!!!! (oh and why didn't anyone tell me there was a character in the third one named after me? so what if she dies....I was pretty excited about it! :)

Reading...

So i have spent the last few days reading the Twilight series. Oh my heck. I LOVED the first one. i mean, there were a few things that were a little odd about it, like the fact that Bella didn't seem to care that she was dating a vampire. I think if I found out my husband was a vampire, I'd probly freak out. But whatever, it's just a book right. but I think I am in love with Edward too..lol, such a good book. Well, once I finished that book, Greg and I went to find the next two books. We kinda don't like to spend a lot of money on a book, so I was disappointed to find that the 3rd book was cheaper than the 2nd. Greg told me to get the 3rd and look around for a cheaper 2nd book. I was totally bummed cuz I wanted to finish. Well, today when I got home from work and volleyball, (Greg was at work) on my desk by my computer was teh 2nd book. OHHHH, sweet huh? I about cried, haha, instead i got to reading. I got home about 6:30 and started reading it immediately. it is now 1 in the a.m. and I am DONE with it. I LOVED it too!! I think the author is so good. I didn't even think it dragged on, of course once edward got in the picture again it was SOO much better, but I still thought it was so good. Anyway...I thought about starting the 3rd one, but I should probly save something for me to do next week.. :)

Pigskin Pick'em

So, until I met Greg I didn't really care much about football. But lately I have been really getting into it, although I don't really have a favorite team, I just like following the nfl. Well, every week when we'd watch what Greg considers the "news" (any of the ESPN channels) when the analysts would pick which teams were going to win for the week, I'd make picks of my own. (Often against these great sports analysts.) I would actually win quite a bit. Greg told me about a game that I could play on ESPN.com called Pigskin Pick'em, pretty much you just pick which teams were gonna win for the week. This week was my first week, and guess what? I won ALL 14 games!!! It was quite the week. Most of the teams I picked were underdogs and were WAY behind in the first half and BARELY won at the very end. (Anyone watch the Bears game? the Cowboys?) Holy cow! Such good football this week. I was so excited. I couldn't believe that every team I picked won! I don't follow it close enough to really know how good each team is. I often made guesses on how much i liked their team uniforms. But anyway. I was so excited when I looked on the website and saw 14 green checks next to all of my picks! :) I was going crazy last night! haha...it's been fun, and this is really random, but i am SOOOO EXCITED! :) I love the NFL!

Homecoming Pics

I finally finished the Homecoming pictures, so I thought I would put one up here, along with a picture of me and one of my best friends Camille and me and Kenz.

I look bad in both of these...haha, but kenz and camille both look cute!

(Haha, Shari, I think you're the only one who looks on here, so yeah..lol...here ya go! give ya something to look at!)

More Wedding Stuff

So, here is Lindsay's announcement. This is just the picture part. The wording is on a vellum paper that is the same size as the middle picture. They are attached together with blue ribbon, and are SOOO CUTE!!! I love them...and not just cuz I made them! :)

I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!

So, like i mentioned over there on the side, my mom and I do a little bit of photography on the side. Our most recent wedding has been one of my good friends' from high school. Lindsay is getting married on Thursday and asked mom and i to do her engagements, announcements, bridals, wedding pics, and her wedding video. Here is one of her bridals that mom took. She did such a GREAT job. I just added a bit of artwork and editing, but I give all the credit to my mom! She's awesome at it! If any of you know of anyone who's getting married...have them give us a call!! :) we'd LOVE to do it!!! (I'll post Linds' announcement later!)

It's been a while...

So, since it has been a while since I've seen a lot of you, or even talked, I decided to go through iPhoto and pick a few pics to show everyone what's been going on for the past little while. Hopefully I can keep up to date with this thing! :)

This picture was taken when Greg and I went to Star Valley for his family reunion. (He is so hard to photograph! He was worse than the little nieces and nephews, so I just picked the best one of me.)

The day before Brady left, Greg and I were able to make the trip to Cokeville to say goodbye. After a game of Clue with Kenz, Kennan, Brady and Trevor, we began the packing. It was weird to think that everything we were packing in the 2 suitcases were going to be all the things Brady was going to have for the next 2 years. It was so good to see him before right before he left, and although I miss him like CRAZY!!!, I know he is where he's supposed to be. I'm sure he'll be an AWESOME missionary!

so these are a bit random, but can I just say how much I LOVE my niece! We were lucky to have Ben, Shari, and Lilli come up the beginning of the summer, then Shari and Lilli came up again when Kandyce flew home. It was so good to see them. I wish we could see them more....

This is the only picture i got of greg and Lilli. She didn't like him too much.

I was attempting a self-portrait of me and lilli. Do you know how hard it was to get this? haha. she loved me! I spoiled her rotten, taking her outside to play and letting her do things her mom didn't necessarily approve of, but isn't that what aunts are for? :)
