Week in Review | 03.16.14

Week in Review: 3.9-3.15
  • Monday was a bit rough. My meds are kicking my butt lately, and after taking them with my breakfast, while getting ready for work, my breakfast decided to make a reappearance. That was a joyous day..
  • The sickness really only lasts until about 2:00. Totally strange, and I'm not pregnant. (That has led to some fun conversations at work.
  • Monday was also my co-worker Colton's birthday, so we convinced our boss to get us shakes from Coldstone. Score! Super delish!
  • Tuesday was kind of rough as well. I woke up grumpier than normal, got after Greg about my stupid hair, then proceeded the lengthy process of getting ready. I need to shave my head.
  • I had a hair appointment on Tuesday with Emy at Serendipity Salon. Emy banks at DFCU, and she is just the sweetest. She always does a great job with my hair, and is just a doll. She is seriously the cutest. She fixed me up, and make me look pretty. Too bad I can't copy it.
  • Wednesday I was able to talk with our HR guy from Salt Lake. He is really great too. I work for a great company.
  • Thursday was a long day. We had our Relief Society Birthday party that night, and I spent a lot of time on my feet. It was a long night, but we had a great turnout, which always makes me happy.
  • Friday was another interesting day. Everyone that came in had some random weird issue. I seriously got yelled at like five times. It was so crazy. Then there was just some crazy drama going on with the co-workers, nothing horrible, but it was making me really sad, and feel weird. I don't even know how to explain it. Just my meds messing with my emotions.
  • Saturday I got to work with Colton. He is just a sweet, fun kid. Any girls out there looking for a cute, fun, guy to date, let me know. I'll hook you up. He kept me laughing the whole time.
  • Saturday was also a beautiful day. I wish I felt better so that we could have gone for a walk, but with all the walking I did on Thursday, working all day Friday, then the shopping we did Saturday, I was done. I wish I were normal again.

Week in Review: 3.2-3.8
  • I haven't been feeling well lately, like sick to my stomach. Some days are fine, and it's normally just in the morning, and no I'm not pregnant. I don't know what is going on. The rest of me feels 'fine'. So strange.
  • I've had a nasty sore on my finger, and on Tuesday, the scab or sore, or whatever it is came off. I've been waiting for it to happen. Luckily it didn't hurt too much. Now I just need it to heal.
  • We had our Relief Society presidency meeting on Tuesday. It's always a good time with the ladies I serve with.
  • I don't always look forward to Wednesdays because we have early meetings, but this time we went to Kneaders, since there were only four of us. I had to cut my french toast really small, but it was really yummy.
  • Work has been really good lately. I don't know why. Monday was crazy busy. I had about 5 requests for loans, and have had a few since then, but it's all right. It's been fun learning new things.
  • I stayed all day to close for Donna on Thursday. As I was finishing up, Colton asked me if I liked One Direction, which I said yes. Then he asked if I'd heard of Boyce Avenue becuase the only time he listens to 1D music is when Boyce Avenue covering them. They cover What Makes You Beautiful, so I started singing it, then Colton started singing it, and Caleb kind of. then I started laughing because it was quite funny. Then Colton said he wanted to sing a duet. It was really funny.
  • Greg made me a cookie dough shake, because I was craving one. He's the sweetest.
  • I ate way too much junk food, including some chocolates Sister Simper brought back from Hawaii. So delicious!
  • Played way too much Taptiles and Mahjong on my computer....way too much!
  • Saturday was a chill day. We didn't do much of anything...anything at all. Kandyce stopped by with Liam for a bit, then Greg and I went shopping, then to Arctic Circle to get some french fries and shakes...I got cookie dough, he got raspberry cheesecake. Our week is complete!

Week in Review | 02.09.14

I don't really have an pictures that weren't posted to IG, so these are all repeats. Sorry! :)

Week in Review: 2.2-2.8
  • I didn't sleep so well Saturday night/Sunday morning. I woke up and puked a bit. Totally nasty. I think my new dose of meds is messing with me. It was not pretty. I felt a bit nauseous all day.
  • I got to teach on Sunday. Luckily I only have to teach about 3 times a year, but it always makes me so nervous, and I usually sweat like crazy. I taught on trials and adversity, and why we go through them, how to make it through, and blessings that come from them. I ramble sometimes when I get nervous, so hopefully I did okay.
  • I was also the only member of the presidency at church so I conducted, led the music, and taught. That was fun. I went home right after.
  • Superbowl Sunday. I was hoping the Broncos would win because I like Peyton Manning, but decided half way through to not become emotionally attached since they were getting (and got) blown out. It was sad.
  • Half-time show of Bruno Mars was good, though the Red Hot Chili Peppers were really strange.
  • I also had my first banana in a very long time. I'm trying to eat better. Bananas have never been my favorite. They are just strange texture wise, and have very little flavor. I think I ate 3 halves this week!
  • Because I hadn't been sleeping very well over the past few weeks, and I was sick Sunday, I decided to take a sick day Monday and stay home. I always feel bad, but since that was only my 2nd time calling in sick (not counting "the fall" days), I decided I really needed it. It was great. I slept in and just relaxed.
  • Greg got me a hot fudge sundae from McDonald's just because. Love him!
  • Tuesday we did good getting up early and ready for work, and then Greg locked the keys in the car. Whoops! I'm just glad that I'm now not the only one to do it.
  • Wednesday evening one of the sisters I visit teach called and asked if I could babysit for her the next morning from 7:30-9. I told her of course, but was really nervous about it. It went well though, and I even managed to get her little boy ready for school. Good job me!
  • We got McDonald's for breakfast on Saturday, and then were just lazy. It was so great!
  • I had to get fingerprinted for work on Saturday. I've been worried about it because my fingers are so messed up. Well, the officer said they probably wouldn't accept them, so she didn't charge me. Oh well. I guess I won't have to do mortgages now, right?
  • It snowed like crazy this week, and it was awesome. I love the snow. Hopefully we get a bit more before winter is over.

2.02.2014

Week in Review | 02.02.14

Not quite sure how exciting this past week has been, but I'll sure do my best to capture the highlights...

 Week in Review: 1.26-2.1
  • One of the positives of going into work an hour later is the extra time I have to get caught up on reading my scriptures, or conference talks. since I'm usually tired at the end of the day, it's nice to get them read earlier.
  • It's been a bit of a strange week. I've been a bit moody, and I'm not sure why. My stomach hasn't been very nice this past week, plus my head and body have been aching like crazy, It really has been strange.
  • Ever since the last orange vs red debate at work, we tend to have them a bit more often. Donna was wearing a pinkish sweater, and we were trying to figure out the correct color. It can be quite entertaining when you have a co-worker who thinks he is always right and will argue and  argue. Most the time we disagree to get him heated, which we does to us too, so it's all good.
  • Had a great Relief Society activities board meeting. We've got a fun activity planned for February that I'm super excited for. I'll post more about it after we have it.
  • Before going to the meeting I was trying to get something out of my purse, and I tripped over all our shoes, and stumbled and fell right on my butt. It hurt, but at least I didn't smack my head on anything.I'm a clutz, and I hate that I don't quite have the reflexes I once had.
  • It really hasn't snowed a whole lot lately, but Thursday we got a few flakes, and it was kind of a gloomy day, which normally I wouldn't mind, but with how the past weeks have been...
  • The lower part of my left leg was numb on Thursday, and has kind of been numb off and on. it's really strange, and I don't know whats causing it, but it kind of freaks me out,
  • Went to Coldstone..I got the Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Super delish! Great way to end the day/
  • Friday morning I spent creating my Visiting Teaching handouts. Yes I waited until the last day of the month. No, it won't happen again! They were really cute. I got the idea from {here}. You can see mine on instagram.
  • One Direction's new music video for 'Midnight Memories' came out, and luckily it was before I had to work! Yay!
  • Then I learned that a co-worker who had been mocking me forever for loving One Direction posted on Facebook that he liked on of their songs, so I took advantage and officially welcomed him to the 1D Fan Club. I spent my entire morning working on it. It was great.
  • The Relief Society is in charge of cleaning the church this month. Since Betty and Kelly were both gone (YIKES!), I was in charge this week. Greg and I went over Friday night and we cleaned the chapel and I wiped down the doors and pianos. Then Saturday morning I went over for a minute before work to give instructions to any ladies that showed up. Two showed up. But it's alright. Creepy guy was there to do whatever he does, so I'm not too worried about it.
  • I worked on Saturday with the newbie Colton, who is great. We got two awesome co-workers, and I'm glad for it. They make work easier, and more comfortable.
  • After work we went to Hastings, then got Cafe Rio, then relaxed, and watched Elysium. I also worked on my lesson for Relief Society. Glad that's over! Then we attempted sleep, I threw up sometime during the night, and then it was Sunday morning.

1.26.2014

Week in Review | 01.26.14

Well, another week has come and gone. Here are a few highlight:

Week in Review: 1.19-1.25
  • Last Sunday, a member of our ward turned 95 years old. She is an amazing woman. She almost always is at church, even though she has some difficulties getting around, but she still makes it. What a wonderful example. Betty, Kelly and I went over as a Relief Society Presidency to see her and wish her a happy birthday. Definitely one of the perks of being in the presidency.
  • I didn't have to work Monday! Woohoo! I didn't really sleep in, but I didn't get dressed until probably noon. I spent the morning trying to perfect my Daily Life planner, thought I had it, but now I'm not so sure. I'll get it eventually! We did a little shopping, and I picked me up some sweets.
  • Tuesday was my first day with my new work schedule. I work from 10-3:30 with a lunch at 12:45. I feel super lazy for some reason, but hope that it will be for the best. Going in later is nice because I don't feel so rushed, and I have a bit more time read and get a few small things done around the house.
  • Wednesday was my appointment with my rheumatologist. I will post more about that over on {this blog}, but in short, it was a really good appointment. He also upped my meds, hence the three massive white pills. Love them, plus I got to give more blood. I am getting used to the pokes, I think.
  • Thursday Greg had parent teacher conferences late, so I decided to watch the new One Direction movie, that I got for New Years and still haven't watched it. It was awesome. I loved it.
  • I also scrapped my first layout in over 3 months. SuzyQ Scraps has this adorable new bundle, and I tried my hand at pocket scrapping (or Project Life). It was fun to get back at it, and try something new. I think I like simplicity.
  • Friday we did our grocery and Hastings shopping so that Saturday we could just relax.
  • Sure enough, Saturday was another great day of relaxing. I updated my blog designs, then we grabbed lunch from Center Street Grill, watched a movie, and just relaxed. It was so great. Those are the best kind of days.

1.19.2014

Week in Review | 01.19.14

(A few pics that didn't make it on instagram)

It's amazing how during the week it seems to just be dragging, but by the time the weekend gets here and you look back over the previous week, it seems to have just flown by. Here are some highlights from this previous week.

Week in Review: 1.12-1.18
  • Greg was released as Elder's Quorum President, only to be called to speak in sacrament last week and to be a Gospel Doctrine teacher. He did a great job speaking, and I've heard quite a few people say how glad they are that he will be teaching.
  • We went to Coldstone Monday night, in the freezing cold, but it was oh so worth it! Love our Coldstone date nights.
  • Enrichment on Tuesday. We had my friend (and enrichment board leader) Melanie's neighbor come and teach the ladies Zumba. I was impressed by the number of sisters that showed up, and by the amount of fun that they had. It gave me hope for our future enrichment activities this year.
  • Wednesday I went out on visits with the Relief Society president, Betty. I am still so nervous about meeting new people, but I'm happy to go visit with her and at least say hi to the new sisters. I'm hoping that I will soon get over that fear and be able to be more effective on the visits.
  • My mom stopped by with some yummy taco soup and pizza pockets. Thanks mom!
  • I received my Studio Calico kits in the mail. So, so super excited to get to use them.
  • Spoke with my boss about my work hours. He told me to talk it over with Greg, and let him know what I was thinking. Since it's really something I've been thinking about for a while, I decided to try working a little less. I was really nervous to make that decision, but hope it will be for the best.
  • Got to work yesterday with Donna. She's awesome. I'm grateful that she is still there and that I get to work with her on a daily basis (and one Saturday a month).
  • We ordered pizza from Papa Johns (the best) and watched Face Off. Then just sat around. Super exciting!
