October-ness

General Conference weekends are always my favorite! The talks are always fabulous, and I always learn so much. This year I got sick over this weekend. It was sad, and unfortunate, but luckily it was on the weekend, and I could stay at home and just listen to conference.

Also, this medicine is about the only medicine I actually like. I've tried others, and they are just awful. So, thank you Kroger. You are a life saver!
It's always beautiful when it rains. Always!
October always reminds me of Gram, since her birthday is the 10th. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to live right next door, and to be able to visit her whenever. I just wish I had visited her more as I got older. I can't wait to see her again!

Oh church ball. Greg is over the stake sports, so he gets to go set up volleyball nets and play. I went this first night because one of my volleyball girls is in our ward, and I wanted to make sure she knew someone. It's always good times watching people play.

We had a Relief Society Activity on the 13th. We did a "Witches Night Out" with dinner (potato bar), and "Speed Friendshipping." In the last 3 years that I have been in this calling, I have never had an actual committee. It was just Melanie and me for the longest time, then we added Shaye.

When Melanie moved in March, I told the RS President that I would not do any more activities until I got a committee. Well, we had 3 accept callings, and then we sent around a sign-up sheet for additional help, and got one more. It was the greatest thing ever! They did such an amazing job, and it turned out so fun. Plus, the fact that I had very little to do made it even more awesome.

The dinner was delicious, and the speed friendshipping was super fun. Even with all the complaints (which, honestly, I wanted to smack a few of the older ladies!) in the end they all had a great time, and I heard so many comments about how fun it was, and how they loved getting to know the sisters better. Jerks. If they would just trust us!
Last Saturday, Mom and Dad were in town. They were going to come visit and see our house, but since we were at Wal-Mart, they decided to visit Uncle Dick & Aunt Joanna. Since we were right there, I had Greg drop me off so I could go see them too. It was a really fun visit. I was always terrified of Aunt Joanna, and when I told dad, he said, "well, everyone is terrified of your grandma." I had never noticed how similar they are, but since Grandma is my grandma, she doesn't terrify me like Aunt Joanna did. :)  It was really fun to visit them though.
It's been raining quite a bit, and it's just perfect!
About a month ago, I realized that my computer only had about 10 GB left, on a 1 TB hard drive. I could not for the longest time figure out what was taking up that much room. It just didn't make sense. I even went through and deleted a lot of stuff, but nothing worked. Finally I downloaded a program that showed what was taking up all the space, and learned that my Norton back-up was backing up stuff on my hard drive. 850+ GB over the last two years! We deleted the file, and watched as space on my computer opened up. Now I don't have to worry about where to save my Holiday orders!

And October means Halloween. We may have spent way too much money on decorations, but they are fun, so I suppose it's okay.

Happy October all!

End of March, Beginning of April

March 27th was Easter Sunday. While everyone was posting pictures of their cute kiddos, I took this one of mine. He has to get up early to go to High Council meetings, then has a little time between his other meetings. I did have to wake him up to help me, so I felt a little bit bad about that.

It was also my baby brother Kennan's 19th birthday. He is currently serving an LDS mission in Orlando, Florida. I still can't believe he is that old. Seriously, whenever I have dreams with him in them, he is still just a little boy. It's crazy he's all grown up and has already been out 8 months.

And my sister sent me this cute picture of her kids on Easter Sunday, as well as the cutest video of Myka twirling in her skirt. Love these little cuties!

The best part about March/April is that it still snows! And sometimes it snows quite a bit. It's pretty fantastic.

This just shows how excited I am about the snow (and how awesome my hair is!)

So, funny story. Our regional manager comes up on occasion, and occasionally his boss is with him. So this particular day both of them were there, and I was in talking with Mike, and Kevin knocks on the door to interrupt, and brings in this sweet lady that I had helped the day before with a few IRA's (because I'm the "IRA expert"...Cole...) Anyway, she handed me this card, and thanked me for helping her and her husband. It was the sweetest thing, and let's me honest, her timing couldn't have been better. I love those parts of what I do. I am grateful that I am one of the few who knows IRA's so I can sit down and spend literally an hour talking with and getting to know sweet people like her, then running out in the snow & wind to sit in the car while her husband signs papers. Those days usually outweigh the less than awesome days. I couldn't have asked for a better job, well, unless there was a job that allowed me to get paid to stay home, or to be on the beach all day. ;)

General Conference was that next weekend, and it was pretty fantastic. I love hearing the leaders of our church speak. There were some pretty amazing talks, and I'm glad I was able to listen to them all.

In between the Saturday sessions, we did some cleaning, and Greg found this picture of me & my "German Friend" Jana from my senior year of high school. The year we had only 7 people on my team, and one of them was her, someone who had never played basketball before. But it was honestly my favorite year. I loved all the girls on the team, and we had some great memories (like beating Encampment at home)....Yeah, that was pretty fantastic. Or the time I swore in German (having learned that from a German foreign exchange student the year before, and Jana gasping at me. Some fun times. I'm sad that I lost touch with her.

We made our semi-annual trip to get ice cream. This time we went to Coldstone, where we spend way too much money on ice cream, but we had a great time together.

Mom stopped by and brought me this Lemonade Frosty treat thing. It was quite delicious, and was good to see her. Thanks Mom!

Apparently April 13th is National Peach Cobbler Day, so naturally you have to make Peach Cobbler, even if it's 10:30 at night.

And lastly, they were doing some updates on our work website, and under my profile i had to laugh when it said "Breanne reports to Nobody"....Muah hahahaha....my plan is finally successful. And yes, I did put that as my personal information, because I'm cool like that!

A Mostly Pictures Post

Your favorite posts, right?

My gorgeous friend Tami did my hair again. I have a problem. I have to have my hair done at least every few months....Which, is probably normal, but man, it gets expensive. I love it though, and I'm glad I've got an awesome friend who will do it for me.

Saw this on my way into work. Always a good omen right?

We celebrated our 60th birthday at the credit union with a photo booth. We are so cool. (Me, Steve, Donna)

(Cole, Chandler & Me)

We went up to Star Valley one weekend in September. It was a bit chilly, but not too bad otherwise.

Sometimes I like to lock myself in one of the offices to avoid socializing with people...

Just kidding...I just socialize over the phone and not face to face.

Just a late-night snack that Greg picked up for me after his P/T conferences.

Only about 99% of the pictures I take of the two of us.

We went out looking for a bread-maker and came home with some jeans, shoes, and a blanket instead.

I've had this dress for a while, but it was too short, so I was waiting for an extender slip thing, whatever they're called. I kind of really love this dress. Just wish it were a bit longer.

And my super cute shoes. Stripes & dots are in, right?

Greg ordered this online. I didn't realize he bought it, so when I got home from work one day, it was sitting on my chair. I about peed my pants. It freaked me out!

One of my co-workers, Kim, decided to leave the CU. I don't know why I was so shocked, but it was sad to see her go. She's been with us for about 1.5 years, and she was super fun and sweet. Even though she'll still be in Logan, we all went out to dinner. Beehive Grill is becoming our place to go when people leave.

And so that sums up the past few months in pictures. Super exciting, I'll tell you what!
