End of March, Beginning of April

March 27th was Easter Sunday. While everyone was posting pictures of their cute kiddos, I took this one of mine. He has to get up early to go to High Council meetings, then has a little time between his other meetings. I did have to wake him up to help me, so I felt a little bit bad about that.

It was also my baby brother Kennan's 19th birthday. He is currently serving an LDS mission in Orlando, Florida. I still can't believe he is that old. Seriously, whenever I have dreams with him in them, he is still just a little boy. It's crazy he's all grown up and has already been out 8 months.

And my sister sent me this cute picture of her kids on Easter Sunday, as well as the cutest video of Myka twirling in her skirt. Love these little cuties!

The best part about March/April is that it still snows! And sometimes it snows quite a bit. It's pretty fantastic.

This just shows how excited I am about the snow (and how awesome my hair is!)

So, funny story. Our regional manager comes up on occasion, and occasionally his boss is with him. So this particular day both of them were there, and I was in talking with Mike, and Kevin knocks on the door to interrupt, and brings in this sweet lady that I had helped the day before with a few IRA's (because I'm the "IRA expert"...Cole...) Anyway, she handed me this card, and thanked me for helping her and her husband. It was the sweetest thing, and let's me honest, her timing couldn't have been better. I love those parts of what I do. I am grateful that I am one of the few who knows IRA's so I can sit down and spend literally an hour talking with and getting to know sweet people like her, then running out in the snow & wind to sit in the car while her husband signs papers. Those days usually outweigh the less than awesome days. I couldn't have asked for a better job, well, unless there was a job that allowed me to get paid to stay home, or to be on the beach all day. ;)

General Conference was that next weekend, and it was pretty fantastic. I love hearing the leaders of our church speak. There were some pretty amazing talks, and I'm glad I was able to listen to them all.

In between the Saturday sessions, we did some cleaning, and Greg found this picture of me & my "German Friend" Jana from my senior year of high school. The year we had only 7 people on my team, and one of them was her, someone who had never played basketball before. But it was honestly my favorite year. I loved all the girls on the team, and we had some great memories (like beating Encampment at home)....Yeah, that was pretty fantastic. Or the time I swore in German (having learned that from a German foreign exchange student the year before, and Jana gasping at me. Some fun times. I'm sad that I lost touch with her.

We made our semi-annual trip to get ice cream. This time we went to Coldstone, where we spend way too much money on ice cream, but we had a great time together.

Mom stopped by and brought me this Lemonade Frosty treat thing. It was quite delicious, and was good to see her. Thanks Mom!

Apparently April 13th is National Peach Cobbler Day, so naturally you have to make Peach Cobbler, even if it's 10:30 at night. 

And lastly, they were doing some updates on our work website, and under my profile i had to laugh when it said "Breanne reports to Nobody"....Muah hahahaha....my plan is finally successful. And yes, I did put that as my personal information, because I'm cool like that!

WWCC Get-together (Late Post)

I don't know why I didn't post this earlier. I really thought that I did.

But every so often, my teammates from Western will plan a get-together to watch our old team, Western Wyoming Spartans (now Mustangs...Spartans was way cooler), take on our coach's team now, Salt Lake Community College. Quite a few of us are still around this area, so we planned a get-together when WWCC played SLCC the end of September, so we actually had a great turnout this year. I hadn't planned on going this year, as I hadn't in years past, but my sister Kandyce texted me one day asking if I wanted to go, because one of our teammates, Katie, who lives in Cache Valley, was planning on going and could give me a ride. I said sure, and I'm so glad I did.

Katie and I met up with my roommate my freshman year and also teammate, Jackie, and then continued with her. We met a few of the other girls at Cafe Rio before the game, then headed to the gym. It's been a very long time since I've seen a lot of those girls. I think Katie & Jess Jeppsen (who actually wasn't there) are the only two I've actually seen in the past 5 years. The others I keep in touch through facebook, but even then it's just liking photos, stalking statuses, etc. It was really good to see all of them. I think we were only missing 3? It was fun too, because my sister was also there with her two kids so I got to see them as well.

So, interesting fact as to why my sister is standing with MY team ;) ....Kandyce played at WWCC in 2002 & 2003, and I played in 2004, so her 2003 team was basically the same as my 2004 team. In my opinion, if we had had her for my 2004 team, we totally could have taken Nationals. But 8th place was pretty rad too. Also, interested fact. Katie is the daughter of my dad's assistant coach when he was at Bear Lake. So, we basically grew up together.

After the game we all headed to Leatherby's where we enjoyed delicious desserts (and I got to spend time with Liam & Myka)

It was a fun night. Fun seeing and talking with old friends & teammates, watching volleyball, and spending time with my sister and her kids.

But....

The highlight was towards the end of the night. When we were getting ready to pay for our desserts, I was just looking around, eyes wandering, when I noticed a table that had a girl and three guys. The kid with his back towards me was wearing a sweater vest, and I knew immediately who it was. I couldn't believe it, of all the places we both were that evening, it was my co-worker friend Caleb, who ditched us and moved to Murray to take a position there. What are the chances? I went over and talked to him, and I think he was as shocked to see me. It was pretty funny.

Yes, I took a picture of him stalkerishly. There was a guy behind me as I was taking the picture, and it was my turn next to pay, so I waved to the guy and said, "Go ahead, I'm just stalking this kid real quick."

November Updates

So November came and went. I started the month by teaching in Relief Society on being 'Grateful in Any Circumstance' based off of Elder Uchtdorf's conference talk. Always fun teaching Relief Society...Always...

Our Halloween lights stayed up for a few weeks into November, and Greg found this awesome massive leaf. It's pretty rad.

I've got some pretty awesome friends. My friend Melanie invited us over for dinner one night, but Greg wasn't feeling well and we didn't want to get her kids sick, so she offered to bring us dinner. It was so delicious. I told her I'm going to hire her to just make extra food for Greg & I when she cooks for her family. 

My sister, Kandyce had her baby on the 4th of November. She is just the cutest thing ever. Myka Jade

State Volleyball happened. I'll write more about it on my Sclero blog, but they did AMAZING and won their 4th straight state championship title. It was so excited, and I'm so happy for my dad and those amazing girls.

We FINALLY got a little bit of snow...FINALLY!

So Steve got a package in the mail but forgot to grab it before going to lunch. Lucky for him we sent him on a scavenger hunt to find it. Unfortunately he got stuck on the last clue which was to give his "mini-me" a hug. To quote Steve, he said, "Hell no!" Guess he won't be getting his package after all....

Kennan played his last year of football in the freezing temperatures in Laramie, Wyoming for the 1A state championship. I didn't realize it was being broadcast via radio, so I was on twitter watching it. They did awesome and won, and Kennan even had an interception. I'm super excited for him.

One Direction came out with a new CD. It rocks my world!

Panda Express has become our new favorite place to eat....Their Orange Chicken is super yum!

One Direction also came out with a new music video. Its pretty much my favorite. They are so adorable.

Thanksgiving was wonderfully relaxing. We cooked our big turkey dinner and watched football. I love days off in the middle of the week. Unfortunately, I did have to go back to work the next day.

One of my favorite things to do during that month of November was sit on my front porch when it was cold and dark out. Weird, I know, but it was relaxing.

New October Hair

When we did the Scleroderma run in June, I met a sweet gal from Cache Valley who's mom had Scleroderma. She gave me her number and told me to find her on facebook. Well, I did, and we've kind of chatted through FB and IG, and then in October, she messaged me and said that I should come get my hair done so we could hangout and talk.

I'm so glad I did. She is not only amazing at doing hair, but she is beautiful inside and out. She so friendly, and fun, and sweet. I'm grateful I was able to meet her, and look forward to spending more time with her...I need my hair done again! :)

You would never guess how old this gorgeous lady is....I still don't believe it, even though she has a 16 year old son...

And random, but today in church the Sister that Greg & I sit next to leaned over and asked if I knew of anyone else in Logan that had Scleroderma. I told her I didn't, and then she said that she knew of a lady who lived in our stake, but then moved and later passed away, who had it. I asked what the name was, and it was Tami's mom. Fun, small world (granted it is Cache Valley, so I guess I can't be too surprised!)

Major Catch-up

Holy moly. I can't believe it's been so long. In looking back through my pictures, I really don't see much excitement, but I'll do my best to make it super exciting for you. It may be broken up into a few posts as I'm sure y'all get bored reading my random babblings.

So, I think I briefly mentioned this, but I have to mention it again, even though, holy cow, it's been three months!

September 19 (? correct me if I'm wrong. I went to Facebook, because I couldn't remember), this little sweetie was brought into the world. Weighing 6 lbs 15oz. She belongs to my sister-in-law Adrienne, and is just a doll. Her name is Breklin Aidra, and I STILL can't wait to meet her. I love new nieces and nephews. I need at least 10 more!

Now back to where I last left off. After waking up after my class reunion, I just chilled at my parents house. I love their "new" addition. It's just so big and open. I can't wait to have big open space like that in my own home someday. Ever since I was young and still at home, we always had some type of pet. Most of them were strays, but we accepted them (mostly because they were fine with staying outside, and the cats kept the mice out of the house.) The cat population at my parent's home is always changing. Sometimes the cats will leave for a few months/years, then come back.I swear whatever momma cat we had around was always getting pregnant. That has continued, so I had a fun time watching about 6 kittens outside my parents house playing with each other. Oh, how I want a pet...(and no, I can't have one, so please don't get me one!).

It's always fun spending time with the fam.

I got lucky and was able to drive home with one of my good friend's from high school, Camille Petersen Johnson. She lives here in Logan, and I very rarely get to see her! But I love her to death, and we always have a good time chatting with one another. I was so glad to be able to take the ride home with her. I love her to pieces.

Of course, with it being October and all, we had to get our Halloween lights up. I stayed inside where it was warm, while Greg did his thing. I really dislike putting them up, but I love when they are up and lit.

We held our "Fun Friday" craft night in October. I have THE best Activity Chairperson, and she did EVERYTHING. Not even kidding. She is amazing. We kept it small, but it was still fun for the people who came out.

We had a few sisters forget/not able to make it, so I helped make a few of their crafts. This is one of them, and I really love it, and wish I had gotten one for myself, but it was fun seeing the look on the Sister's face of who it was for. She was so excited and just loved it.

As I mentioned in a few posts back, I have really gotten back into designing. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Illustrator, taught myself to use it, and have fallen in love with it! I had one of my friends from HS contact me and ask if I'd create a baby shower invitation for her. I did, and I loved it. I had so much fun doing it, I decided I really needed to get my Etsy shop open.

So, at work, I have this co-worker who would occasionally (ALWAYS) steal my post-it notes. I decided to write "Dear Cole, please do not steal my post-its. These are mine. Sincerely, Bre" around the edge of the pad. Not even kidding, an hour later I couldn't find my post-its, so I asked Cole if he had them...Sure enough, they somehow made it over to his desk. Lol. It's kind of a running joke amongst us. I also have Cole and Caleb worried anytime they have to use my station to not mess anything up. (I really don't mind, as long as they don't adjust my chair, because I sometimes can't get into it.) Anyway, I was at work, and went to use my post-its, and saw this message from Cole. It make me laugh a bit. I have the greatest co-workers for sure!

So, I was wearing my One Direction shirt one Saturday, and we went into Smith's to grocery shop. When we got to the checkout, there was a teenage boy bagger who looked at me, clicked his tongue, shook his head, and said, "Psh, One Direction." I totally called him out on it though...Little punk! It was pretty funny still.

Same day we went to Hastings, where they were having Star Wars day. I learned pretty quickly that I have a fear of adults in costumes. I don't know why, it just seriously freaked me out. They had some people dressed up as Star Wars characters. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Sonic runs are a favorite thing for the tellers. I've been craving Dr. Pepper like crazy lately, so Steve very willingly went and got drinks for all us girls!
