One of my favorite things about the co-workers I have had over the last few years, is they still want to get together every now and then for dinner. Those of us still working at the credit union met up with Kim and Cole on night at a newer restaurant in Logan called Even Stevens. Food was interesting, but I rather enjoyed my sandwich. Company was excellent. I love those people that I have worked with, and I miss the ones that have left lots. It's good to see them every now and then. It's just too mad Caleb isn't closer to join us on occasion.
I actually convinced Greg to go with me. He loves hanging out with people.
I totally felt hipster after eating here. Not that I really know whawt hipster means...I guess I could google it.
"Hipsters are people who enjoy clothing, music, food and activities considered outside of the social mainstream."
There ya go. Totes Hipster!
May 27th was our 11th anniversary. Seems like forever, but has also flown by. I couldn't imagine life without him. It'd be totally boring...or more adventurous...probably a combination of the two. Needless to say, I still love him lots.
"Don't 'fudge' it up"
Our anniversary falls on Memorial weekend most of the time, so I took the next Tuesday off as well just to spend some time with Greg. I still don't think it's fair that he gets summers off, and I get to work. Oh well. Such is life. Maybe someday!
Anyway, we went to "Allegiant". Good movie, but I was disappointed to learn that there is a part 2! Ugh, for reals! Well, I think there is a part 2. There better be because it did not cover all that was in the book.
The NBA Finals were on, so Greg had to make sure the Warriors were going to pull ahead to move on to the Championship.
Greg working on the swamp cooler. Ugh, I swear this place causes more issues than what it's worth! JK, I am grateful for a great place to live that only costs us $280/month (which I still feel is way too much), but at least we can sell it if we ever decide to leave this place.
Grateful that he is willing to help the Relief Society clean the church. Take pressure off of me, as I have a harder time doing stuff like this. He's the greatest.
One Tuesday we had a chiropractor and massage therapist come to the CU where we all got free massages. Holy moly it was amazing. I need one of those at least once a day!
I am obsessed with getting my hair done. Granted, it helps that I love my hairstylist. We always have such a fun time together. We went a little more burgundy w/ some teal underneath. (Teal for Scleroderma awareness) We also cute it a little shorter. It's been fantastic. I love it!
The final results....
My sister and her family are here from Texas, so they came to Logan one day where we went out to eat during my lunch break. Here I am with McKenzie and my favorite niece Lilli.
Back in March, my good friend Melanie moved out to Providence. Not only was she a great friend, but she was also my Relief Society Activity Board Chairperson. She was AMAZING. I never questioned if things would get done, and she always went above and beyond. She basically did the activities by herself, as I was very little help. Now, of course I miss her more as a friend right around the corner, but I also miss her help with the activities.
We only do them every 3 months, but in the last 3 months she has not been replaced. I had a very great debate as to whether I should host an activity in June or not. I decided to go with it, and kept it very simple with an Ice Cream Social.
Greg was a huge help, and did quite a bit for me. (Also, can we talk about Hobby Lobby? I honestly think I could live there. Not even kidding! Made me want to plan parties all the time!)
After getting supplies we stopped by the carwarsh. One of our favorite things to do together...mostly because he likes to spray me.
So we have become obsessed with Red Button Ice Cream. Instead of just doing vanilla with lots of toppings, we went with a variety of flavors. 9 to be exact. They included, Key Lime Pie, Cotton Candy, Huckleberry Pie, Raspberry Lemonade, Raspberry Cheesecake, Vanilla, Animal Cookies, Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake, and Peach.
I won't get into how there were complaints that I didn't have "their favorite kind." Honestly, I love my calling, but people are just never happy. Frustrates the heck out of me. Also, we only had 15 people show. So, was it a waste of time? I don't know. It kind of felt like it.
Maybe I'll just forego our next meeting. See how many complaints we can get. But it was fun to spend time in the kitchen with Greg anyway, sampling all the flavors. He's the coolest.

An Anniversary & Graduation
The 27th of May was our 10th wedding anniversary. Crazy, right? That's nearly more than 1/3 of my life. We've had our ups and downs, but we've only grown closer. Yes, we drive each other crazy, I'm sure, but isn't that what married people do? I love him lots!
We didn't do a whole lot as we both worked, then I headed to Cokeville for Kennan's graduation, but I came home to these pretty flowers.
When work was over on the 27th, I headed home to get ready to head to C-ville. My friends Brittney and Camille are both down in this area, so I asked if I could get a ride home with them. I haven't seen Brit in a while, as she and her husband moved to Oregon a couple of years ago, and just recently moved back, and even though Camille is in Smithfield, I very rarely see her either. So it was a lot of fun driving and catching up with them. I'm grateful for such great friends who I can get together with and just talk like we haven't been apart forever.
The graduation itself was fine. I can't say this enough times, but I seriously can't believe my baby brother is old enough to graduate. It's just not real to me. I've forgotten how long graduations can be, and there were only 19 graduates! But it was fun to watch the graduation video and see the kids grown up through those picture, then to learn what they would be doing after graduation. It's just crazy to me!
All my siblings were able to make it. My sister-in-law Ashbee has a little brother who is also Kennan's age (weird family connections with Brady & Ashbee ;). But I got to see my oldest sister and her kids who I haven't seen in quite a while.
I had asked Mckenzie to take a picture of Kennan and I, and when I asked her later to send them to me she sent one of me hugging him. I was so happy she did, because I have one from exactly 11 years earlier of Kennan hugging me at my graduation. Looks like one of us has grown a little bit. :) I still picture him that small, and seriously, any dream I have with him in it, he is about that age. He's been such a fun younger brother to have, and so incredibly talented. He can sing, play the piano, french horn, trumpet, compose music, play basketball, football, and run track, and so much more. He's pretty amazing.
I spent the rest of the evening and the next day in C-ville so I could spend time with my nieces and nephews and siblings. I had to share a bed with McKenzie who likes to cuddle with me, and I had to avoid the THREE dogs as much as I could. Too many dogs in a house that was never allowed to have pets once upon a time.
Myka being so dang cute. She was waving her arms and talking and Alex says, "She's like a gorilla." He's such a dork!
The kids playing in this old creepy shed behind Gram's house.
Cute little blue-eyed baby girl. She's getting so big!
Liam absolutely loved Alex & Aidan. He followed them around and wanted to do what they were doing. They're all so fun and cute. I just love them!
And of course Lilli. She's just getting so big! Love this little girl.
It was a great couple of days, and it's always so fun seeing my nieces and nephews. I hate that the twins and Lilli are so far away. I'm also grateful that Kandyce will bring Liam and Myka over whenever they are in town. I absolutely love those kiddos.

Not So Much...
...of stuff going on around here.
Monday, the 26th, was a holiday so I didn't have to work. Greg and I went and watched the new X-Men movie, which I really enjoyed. Then we did a little shopping where I got some new black canvas shoes, and some new "walking shoes." Yes. that's right folks. I'm officially an old lady, having to buy walking shoes instead of running shoes. (No offense to you youngies who buy walking shoes too.) I'm hoping I can eventually break them in so I can put them on without the help of Greg, but they don't have laces, so they should be easier for people to put them on me. Man I wish I had my flexibility back. Though I did learn the other day that I can kneel on the ground. I just have to sit on the couch and ease myself onto my knees. Then to get back up I have to like slide myself up the couch to a sitting position, then stand up from there. It was epic.
Tuesday, the 27th, I went back to work. Good times, folks, good times. I am quite consumed with loans at the moment. It's quite crazy, but it's a great learning experience, and I get to work with some awesome people, (and some not-so nice ones), and people that don't typically come into our branch. Now if only I could convince people to purchase MBP, GAP, and Debt Protection.
Tuesday was also Greg and my 9 year anniversary. Time sure has flown by. I'm lucky to be married to such a great person. We actually made our anniversary dinner on Monday, steak, shrimp, and crab. Crab is my favorite. I could eat it all the time, for reals. For our Tuesdsay dinner we went to Five Guys, which was also delicious. I even ate my entire burger. Be proud of me. It's quite the accomplishment.
Unfortunately, that night/early morning was not so great. My stomach has been kind of acting up the past week or so, but it hasn't been too bad that I couldn't function. Tuesday night I just couldn't sleep. I got up about 3-4 times to go to the bathroom, and on my third trip I ended up throwing up. Normally it's not so bad, and I can fall asleep soon after, but not that night. I just didn't sleep well at all, so when my alarm went off, I really did not want to get out of bed. Greg told me I could just stay home, and when he says it, I do it! JK, I always feel so dang guilty, so I really had a struggle with it. The night before I had read this quote that really helped me make my decision.
So, I stayed home, slept until 11, watched 4 episodes of Psych, ate some crackers, drank some apple juice, then took a short nap until Greg got home. I was totally lazy, but sometimes I just need a day to rest.
I was able to go back to work the next day, and I felt fine. I got a loan closed, and worked on getting caught up from the day I missed. For some reason people keep thinking that they need loans. Oh well, I really do enjoy it.
I actually wrote this post a little while ago, and am just now getting to post it, so sorry if it so abruptly ends. I'll be back to post more!
