Work Anniversary & A Wedding

The end of April Greg and I took a quick trip to Wyoming. It was nice and rainy, and oh so beautiful!

I celebrated my 6th Work Anniversary on April 26. SIX YEARS! I can't believe it's been that long. I initially thought I'd only be there for a year, and now I'm heading into my 7th year. This job has been the best job I have ever had. I complain about it a lot, but in reality, I couldn't have asked for a better job. With all the changes in the last year, I have been overwhelmingly frustrated, to the point of tears, and nearly being sent home for arguing with my new manager, but it has been fine. It is slowly getting better, and even though I still get quite frustrated every now and then, I still don't think I could work anywhere else.

They have been amazing to work with me and my health over the last 4 years, and I couldn't be more grateful. I've learned a lot about the financial industry, and what not to do as a customer/member. I have learned to do loans, mortgages, IRA's, and have had the wonderful opportunity for the last 8 or so months to be able to do all the accounts that are applied for online. It's been a great job, and look forward to another 8 years....maybe...

Looks like Obamacare, but stands for "Online Accounts Member Service Representative Expert of All Expertise." Yes, I gave myself a title. Don't judge me!

Then later, Kim, who worked with us a while ago, brought Steve & I cookies. She's a sweetheart!

Our latest obsession. Love this brand of ice cream and fun flavors.

Greg and I got to talk on Mother's Day. I got up and said, "I feel as though it's tradition in the church to ask the best mother in the ward to speak on Mother's Day." I'm funny. I know. We actually spoke on service.

My co-worker Caleb, who left us last year to become an assistant manager at our Murray branch, got married on May 14th. I went down to his reception with my co-worker Steve & his wife. It was fun to see Caleb again. You have no idea how much we miss him. There just isn't anyone to argue nonsense with, but luckily we have an instant messaging system, so we'll "chat" every now and then. His wife is gorgeous, and I'm so happy for them.

Fun fact, the girl in the blue dress is actually from my ward here in Logan. I've known her for the past 11 years. She was roommates with Caleb's wife. She was at our ward a couple of weeks ago, and asked me about Caleb. I laughed and told her how much I liked Caleb, and had to ask her about Brittney. Not gonna lie, I've been a bit worried about him finding a girl who loves him as much as he loves her. I think they're pretty good for each other.

And they also had this fun photo booth. I thought about taking a picture solo, but felt a little silly. The last photo, I'm making that face because Steve & Kaye were totally trying to make out behind me.

It was a good evening, and I'm glad I was able to go.

August is Ending

So, I say this every month, but it's almost the end of the month all ready! Time is sure flying by, and you'd think with as many pictures I take, I'd have something super exciting to share, but, alas, I do not. I'll just walk through the last part of August.

One of the sweet girls in my ward, one of my young women, volleyball player, and friend was sealed for Time and All Eternity. I can't believe she is married. I've known her since we moved here, and being in young womens, I got the opportunity to spend time with her, and watch her grow up, spiritually, and physically. She has always had a strong testimony, but it still just makes me so happy to see her so happy, and to make such an important decision to be married in the temple. She lookked so beautiful and their happiness was just radiating! I love you Sarah!

Since my latest stupidity, Greg has decided that I need to start lifting weights and exercising. Do you want to know how I've felt about it? Well, I'll make a separate post about it, as it is one of my 28 by 29 goals.

The weather has been kind of strange this year. It luckily hasn't been super hot, but lately it's been storming, and has been a bit chilly. The mornings are the worst. Luckily I bought myself a new hair dryer that actually blows hot air. It's been very helpful.

Sometimes I joke about how awesome I am at my job, but in reality, I'm not really joking. I really am quite good at my job. I'm totally humble about it too. Since March, one of the other tellers and I were put in a group that helps with web apps (loans). We have been a bit bombarded, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I absolutely love it. I love being able to help people and having them thank me. Sure it sucks letting people know they've been denied, but if you get one that was denied, and you can work out a way to help them out, it's pretty great. I wish I knew my actual numbers. I could tell you how much money I've done in loans this month due to this pretty sweet email I received from our corporate sales guy.

Greg and I were shopping one day, and I saw some fruit roll-ups, and decided to get them. I love fruit roll-ups. They remind me of Grandma. She always bought them, and we always ate them all. I was super excited to eat this, but was a bit bummed that they no longer do the cut out shapes. Lame!

It's been so beautiful when it storms! Don't tell anyone around here, but I'm kind of looking forward to winter and snow storms!

There was a day at work where there was a bit of negative energy floating around. I don't know if it's my medication, or I have just changed my attitude a lot, but it really gets to me, and makes me feel really sad and weird. So, I sent this picture to everyone. It was nice to hear some laughs.

Greg officially officially started school this week. Lucky him! It's been a pretty busy week for him, but he still enjoys his job.

I went to the dentist for the first time in 10 years! My bishop is a dentist, and since he knows about my condition and lack of being able to open my month, he was very willing to help me out. He was great, and said that I had great teeth, and they weren't too bad for not having been to a dentist in so long. I did however, have a couple of small cavities that I had to go back for. He put me on laughing gas. and at first I didn't notice any difference, but after a while, I started thinking about it, and nearly busted up laughing. I seriously had to try not to smile. It was pretty funny. Thats when I knew it was working. He numbed me up, and was able to get it filled pretty quick. My face was numb for quite a while after. It's a strange feeling. It really has been forever. I have to go back in about a week and half to get the other one done on the other side. Awesome! My right side is completely numb in this pic.

Work....SIGH....We have the best Wednesday morning meetings. It wouldn't be so awesome without me and Danny getting into it about different things. I actually raised my voice a few times, but they were about legitimate issues, so I don't feel TOO bad.

My friend Lindsay has started selling LuLaroe skirts, and she did a party out in Hyrum. My mom, Lindsay's mom and I went out there. I haven't seen Linds since December, and she has since moved to Arizona, so it was really great to see her. There were a few other Cokeville people there, and it was really great seeing them too. If you are looking for super cute skirts, contact Linds. She's got them!

And lastly, I did some last minute visiting teaching. I am so terrible at it. I don't know why I have such a hard time doing it. I love the sisters I visit, and my partner is awesome. I just need to do it. I bought them some treats at the pharmacy when I was picking up meds. That's how you know you're a true spoonie!

Not too much else has been happening. Well, in real life. There is a lot going on in my head, but I have to be a bit emotional in order for me to get my thoughts and feelings out. Right now, I feel like I'm on top of the world. Thank you Zoloft (and no, that isn't a God that I worship!)

An August Wedding

August went by just as fast as July, if not faster!

August 1st was Brady & Ashbee’s reception in Cokeville, so I headed up after work. It was a beautiful reception. The decorations were super cute, and Ashbee looked beautiful. She had this whole vintage theme going on. Very cute. There was a slight mishap with Brady’s ring that I was supposed to help with, but really probably only made it worse. I still feel bad I didn’t double check the size, but what can you do? You don’t need a ring to be married. (Still, really feel bad.) But again, it was good to see the family and friends. I have the cutest niece and nephews, and they are always loads of fun. Brady & Ashbee had a little program where they had family members from both sides sing. Ashbee’s family is super talented, whereas there are only a select few from our family who are. Kennan rocked it on the piano, while Ben and Kenz each sang a song, and then my favorite was the song that Brady wrote and sang for Ashbee. You will have to stalk my instagram page for a snippet of that if you want to hear it. Super sweet!

 

 

 

 

The kids wanted to go home with me, so I loaded them up in the back seat and took off. It was the funnest trip I’ve had in a while. A short five minutes with their imaginations running wild. They are the best.

There was a crazy lightning storm that night so we stayed up and watched it for a little, then I stayed up and talked to my siblings for a bit longer. It was good to talk to them and catch up.

The next morning we headed to SLC for the wedding. I got to take Grandma and Kennan. Kennan was a bit boring, as he slept most of the way, but it was a lot of fun talking with Grandma and laughing the entire way. I don’t get to talk to her near enough, so I’m glad she got to ride with me. Even Kennan wasn’t too bad once he woke up. It was a bit scary driving in Salt Lake. The normal parking was full, so trying to figure out where to park freaked me out a bit. It’s alright. We made it. It was a beautiful ceremony, and was good to see even more friends and family. Derek & Sheila, Pat & Paul, Uncle Robert, Aunts Kathy and Laurel, and my cousins Heather,  Haley, and Cassidy. Plus Nathan and his wife who I’ve never met, and Buck and Aub (my friend who is the aunt). So good to see them.

 

The luncheon was held at Chuck-a-Rama, which was awesome because I sat at the ‘fun table’ with Heather, Hailey, Cassidy and Aunt Kathy. Oh boy. I don’t see those cousins near enough. Lots and lots of laughing for sure.   

It was a great day, and I’m super happy for Brady & Ashbee. Can’t wait for them to make me some nieces and nephews (just not TOO soon). Love you guys!

A Wedding

I posted this over on my daily blog...but in case you don't read it. Here it is!

My little sister got married today...Kinda crazy! I still think she's the little 8 year old I remember her as. But I guess we've got to grow up sometime. Anyway. her reception was last night, so I got off work early and headed up with Brady. Shari, Ben and their kids were there, and Kandyce, Clay and Liam were there too, so I got to see the kiddos. Alex was a grump and kept giving me the stink eye, but Aidan and Lilli were super excited to see me (even if Lilli did call me Brittney). But when I first got there, Shari, Kandyce and I showed Kenz what we got her for her wedding night. Lots of fun stuff! Then we all just kind of laid low for a while.

I took Kenz and Kyler in a little before the reception to take a few pictures. I'll have to get them from my mom and dad, because I think they turned out super cute. Then we headed to the reception. It was good to see a lot of the Cokeville people that I don't see as much any more (Boyers, Birches, etc!) plus family (Grandma, Uncle Don, Uncle Stan, Trevor & baby Chloe, Michaela, etc). It was just a lot of fun seeing and talking to people, and cuddling with my cute niece and nephews.

I came back to Logan that night with Kandyce & Clay who were staying in Wellsville so we didn't have to wake up early and fight for showers. The wedding was at the Logan temple at noon, so I got to sleep in a bit. The wedding was really nice, and even though it was weird seeing my baby sis kiss her groom over the alter, I'm really happy for them. Kyler is a super nice guy, and they make each other happy.

It was also great seeing even more family and friends at the temple -- Aunt Kathy & Heather, Aunt Laurel, Aunt Pat, Haley, Cassidy, and Emily, Aunt Korena & Savannah (holy gorgeousness!), Aunt Gayle & Uncle Robert, Aunt Meg & Uncle Larry, and I'm sorry if I forget anyone! It makes me excited for the next wedding, where hopefully I'll get to see more friends & family.

Anyway, I'll maybe post more about the wedding later, and when I have some pics to show. But it was a beautiful day, and I'm very happy for my sis and new brother! Love you guys!

Trev & Ceara's Wedding

I was looking back over my blog posts from 2011, and there are, like NONE! I failed MISERABLY, and so I don't get too far behind, I'm going to start going through pictures from last year, and try to get caught up. More for my sake than yours, I'm sure, plus I have some super cute pictures to share, so it's a win-win!

First on the list: My cousin Trevor's wedding
Date: June 10, 2011 (See, I told you I was BEHIND!)

Trev & Ceara got married in Provo, so I made the drive down there alone. (I actually LOVE driving, so I didn't mind!) It was a small wedding, but very nice. It was a sunny (and hot) day, but it was beautiful outside. We love Ceara, and think that Trev definitely got a keeper!

We all showed up early, and Shari and the kids were there, so I spent lots of time snapping pictures of them and enjoying their cuteness.

The ceremony itself was short and sweet. They asked Dad to officiate, and I gotta say, even though it was a little strange to see my Dad performing a marriage ceremony, it was pretty neat. He did a great job...keeping it short and simple, giving great words of advice. After the ceremony, we did some family pics and then took pics of the bride and groom.

After all the picture taking, we headed over to Tucanos to eat. Super delicious, and lots of fun keeping the boys from throwing food all over. Eventually they got tired so we took them outside. There was a little pavillion thingy that they had fun running around in circles. There was also a cute little playhouse they enjoyed playing in...Basically they just liked being able to run free.

Besides getting fried, it was a wonderful day. I'm so happy for Trev & Ceara, and wish them the best!

Summer Rewind...Part I

Alright, so this may be a repeat, but I totally can't remember what I've posted, and what I haven't. So we're going to start at the beginning...of the end of the summer...I have like 1000 pictures from the first 3 weeks in August to share...Gosh August was SOOO busy!

Anywho. (I think I've already posted most of this, but here is a QUICK run-down, plus pics at the end!!!!) The last week in July/ First of August was my sis-in-law Adrienne's wedding. I got to spend a lot of time with my sisters-in law getting things ready for the wedding. We made all the desserts, and the cake (which I didn't upload a picture of...but I will...) All of the bridesmaids had a bachelorette party the night before the wedding, painted toes and fingernails and chatted about life. Great fun. The wedding was so beautiful and Adrienne looked GORGEOUS! We are SO happy for her and Mark...and like I've said before, we REALLY hope that they get to move back closer to home. We haven't been able to see them much this past year as they moved to Kentucky then to Philadelphia. We sure miss them! (though I'm still thinking a girl's week back East would be super fun! ;) Anyway...here are a FEW pics from the weekend. I have so many...I just really wanted to get some up...I'm such a basket case right now...too much going through my head...haha, so sorry if this is all rambled! JUST SKIP TO THE PICS ALREADY!

Here are the two flower girls. Kyla and Allie...They looked darling in the dresses that Adrienne made for them...and surprisingly, they looked totally similar. You'd have to check my facebook for pics of their similarity, but it was crazy...This is my fave pic of Kyla. She's such a doll!

And another sister-in-law we don't get to see much. Though I must say they are a bit closer than Adrienne & Mark...lol...but here is Juanita and Mikes darling little family!

(We missed Kyan's family too...their oldest got really sick the morning of the wedding and they weren't able to make it!)
