Some Randoms

Last month I started seeing a Chiropractor, which, I will not get into on this page, mostly because there isn't much to tell.Anywho, driving from work to the Chiropractor allows me to drive past the temple. I forget how beautiful it is up close. How often we take for granted the fact that it is literally 5 minutes away.

Because, let's face it, I was a cute kid, and this was one of the rare times Brady and I got along. Haha!

At work, we had a LEGO day, where kids came and played with LEGOs. This day was also the day that our Area Manager and his boss came to discuss the "new" MSR program. I spent a good amount of time in there talking to them, and asking them various questions. It has been just a really rough year and a half. In some ways it has gotten better, and in other ways, it hasn't. I love it there, and I love what I do, but if this is going to be a career for me, it needs to be somewhere that I feel like I am appreciated and if I were to ever try to leave, they would fight to keep me there. Once upon a time it felt that way, but not so much anymore. It was really good to spend some time with Mike & Kevin though.

Anyway, back to the LEGOs...we had a few left over, so I grabbed one. I was a total jerk though, and only grabbed one for myself. Chandler was a bit mad, so when I went to lunch, he stole my LEGOs and started building them himself. I suppose I could have been a bit more upset with him, but I deserved it. This is his, "This is so stupid" look. Grateful to have such a fun co-worker/station neighbor.

Oh, just looking for flooring to replace our carpeted kitchen. I had my doubts as to whether he'd actually do it or not.

Greg and I were asked to babysit one night for some members in our ward. Normally, I would make excuses to not, but since the lady is one of the sisters I'm assigned to visit teach, and I haven't been in a while, I couldn't say no. Plus, it was so they could go to a church meeting. They have 3 kids, and the two girls were so cute. The oldest has a disability, so the mom wrote out a schedule to follow, which was nice. The youngest, who is probably 2, just clung to me. It was nice to feel loved. I even was able to hold her pretty much the entire night. Then, when we were watching a movie, the two little girls wanted to sit on my lap and cuddle. It was great. Greg was awesome to go with me, even though I knew he really did not want to. Grateful that he came.

December - Please Come Back!!

Oh December! I love December! I love Christmas, I love the lights, the music, the smell, the angry people! Oh, I love it and wish it would come back. It always just flies by way to fast. But here are some gems from December.

A beautiful sunrise.

We finally got our Christmas tree put up, then a few days later, we finally put lights on! We didn't put any decorations on it, and I was just fine with that. The lights are my favorite anyway!

Our "big" Christmas present this year was an XBox 1. Greg plays NBA 2K14 on it, and I play Fantasia, waving my arms around like I'm leading music can be a killer workout. I actually enjoy it though. So I'm not complaining.

My niece on Greg's side was getting baptized December 6, so we decided to head down the night before so I could go visit Kandyce & Clay and meet Myka for the first time. Holy moly, she was cute. She just slept the entire time I held her. With the exception of when I told her she had to wake up for these selfies. I just love her so much. I was a little awkward holding her and couldn't quite figure out a comfortable way to move her around, but it was still a lot of fun seeing her.

We stayed at Kyan's house that night, and the next morning we woke up to this cute little guy. I'm not even kidding, he is just about the cutest little boy I've ever seen. I fell in love with him right away. He absolutely loved Greg.

We had our work party that next Monday. It was a fun night of food and playing games, followed by Caleb serenading Steve, and Steve FINALLY giving Caleb that hug he's been waiting for. It was epic. I have the best co-workers.

You know you're an adult when you're out shopping for vacuums. But we desperately needed one. Like we hadn't vacuumed in 3 months! (kidding!)

For our Relief Society activity we served malibu chicken and had a brief talk by one of the sisters in our ward. It was short, sweet, and super delicious. The best kinds of activities!

I met a girl on instagram who sells hand-stamped jewelry. I'll have to take a better picture, but I had her make me a necklace that said Scleroderma, with a Hope charm, two spoons, and teal beads. I love it!

I bought these super adorbs shirts. I love them!

Sometimes I forget to change into my work shoes....Whoops. At least I was comfortable!

Coin....sigh....I hate coin!

Spent my nights watching cheesy lovey dovey Christmas movies. This was a fave.

Nice cool evening....Just warm enough to sit on the porch for a little bit.

There was a One Direction special on TV, so of course I had to watch it...

What I literally looked like watching the show!

Wrapping presents, watching Elf. Christmas tradition!
And that's all for now. Coming up: Christmas!

I Got Nothing...

Once upon a time life was somewhat exciting, and by somewhat I mean slightly more than the non-existent excitement currently happening at this time.

I mean, seriously. I can watch 2-3 episodes of Psych, and not blink an eye. It's a complete waste of time, but I can't help it. Nothing else seems to excite me. I even started the series over. That's how terrible this addiction is.
Work seems to go by without me noticing as well. I know that I am extremely busy (seriously, I have at least 50 loans in my que, even though maybe 10 of them have actually been completed.) It's kind of insane. I just go to work and kind of go through the motions and before I know it, it's time to go home and I can't remember anything I did. Until I get home and try to sleep and then I remember every little thing I did or forgot to do. It's sad. But I like it, and I think I'm doing okay with it. I received an email the other day from our corporate sales dude telling me I'm doing well. That's always awesome to hear.

Seriously, I can't even come up with any other clever things to write. Not even kidding. This is all I've got.

April Showers

April has been an interesting month. I feel really weird and out of it. I don't know what it is. Maybe the random weather. We haven't actually had many April showers, I just couldn't think of a title. This post may be a bit off because, like I said, I feel really weird, but oh well.

Work has been really good lately. We upgraded our online banking system about a month ago. Let's just say it hasn't gone as smoothly as we anticipated. The phones have been ringing like crazy...still. I won't say what I feel about why the call volume has been up, but people just need to calm down and check their emails, and follow the instructions. But because of this, I was lucky enough to be put into a group of MSR's (Member Service Representatives....have I told you the whole we are no longer tellers anymore? That's a fun story.) that were taking web apps. Holy bombarded. Because of some shingles issues, I actually missed the entire week after the launch, but even still we're still getting a ton of loans. Right now, I have 13 assigned to me. But I really enjoy it. I still am learning, and I ask Steve a lot of questions, but I am really enjoying it. Now I just need my own office and an assistant to get me juice boxes. But really, work is great. I get really worn out by the end of the day, but that's because I don't take time to sit and relax. I have to be standing and going.

Anyway....I've had some fun things happen to me over the last month. It's been quite humbling. I am extremely blessed. I'll share more details on my Sclero-what? blog, but I have to show you my new favorite hair tool that my in-laws got for me. It's called Curl Secret, and it's amazing. You put your hair in it, and it sucks it in and curls it. Greg can use it, and it takes maybe 15 minutes to do. It's pretty amazing...

So, I was supposed to have a Pulmonary Function Test done, so I scheduled to leave work early to go do it. However, due to my life being the way it is, I was not able to perform the PFT. Since we already had work off, Greg took me to watch Divergent. Here's my review:

I REALLY liked it. Maybe because Four/Tobias is super nice to look at, but I love the books, and the movie was really good. I feel like it left out a lot of important things, but it was still really  good. I would definitely recommend it, even if you haven't read the books. No, I don't really like the main girl, but Four/Tobias kind of takes control of your mind, so he's all you can think about. It's about time one of my movies has a hottie in it.

My leg looks soooooo much better.  The shingles post is coming soon, I promise.

Pretty Little Liars has been another obsession of mine. I started watching it while bed ridden with shingles, and I can't stop watching. I actually read the books a few years ago, and it is the weirdest story ever, but it's addicting, plus Caleb.Umm, yummy. So yeah. I'm half-way into Season 2. Netflix rocks, by the way.

Also, we have started watching The Walking Dead. Not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan. It totally drags. The "walker" parts are fine, but the rest of the crap that goes on is just blah. We're in Season 2, and quite bored. Hopefully it gets better. I've heard a lot of great reviews, but I'm not impressed.

So, that's a small catch-up. I need to move my pics from my phone to my computer so that I can show more interesting ones, but it just hasn't happened. Such is my life!

The Price is Right

Work lately has been really great. Today we had our morning meeting, and we had our HR guy up from SLC. He is the greatest. Super nice and friendly, and just a great guy. I took some time to speak with him and Danny, and he was just wonderful. Very concerned, supportive, answered all my questions, and was just awesome.

Then it was super slow today. Donna is off this week, so Kim, Caleb and I were working this morning, with Colton coming in at noon. It was so slow, so we spent a lot of time just chit-chatting. Well it was getting close to lunch, so we were trying to decide how to do lunches. Caleb and Kim were trying to decide who would go to lunch first. They were going back and forth, and Colton happened to walk in at that moment, so Kim asked him to choose. He said Caleb, so Caleb went. (It was quite funny, my storytelling is lacking tonight.)

Well, fast forward to Kim being on her lunch. I was having Caleb check the two ATM's and then he asked if I wanted to do them, or if I wanted him to. I told him I didn't care, that I could, or if he wanted to he could. We then got into another argument about who had to choose, so I said, Let's have Colton decide. He didn't want to, so we decided to play a game. We were going to guess the value of Colton's truck according to NADA guides, and the closest guess, without going over (Price is Right style), didn't have to do them. Yes we are dorks. We have been doing quite a few loans lately, so this was fitting. I just wrote down a random number, and then we looked it up and guess who was actually really quite close? That would be me.

It was quite entertaining, and yes this is a silly post. I just have to remember these fun times at work...kind of like Colton wanting to sing "What Makes You Beautiful" as a duet with Caleb. That was epic.

I love my job.

15 Minutes

If you could spend 15 minutes with any living person, who would it be and why?

Okay, you gotta know that I would change it to living persons, and ten bucks goes to the person who can guess who those persons would be...

...

Okay, not really. You don't get $10, but I do think it would be rad to spend 15 minutes meeting these guys.

Because they are dorky...and the only other person I could think of was Kim Kardashian, so...

top 3 from 9.8.11

1 - NOT getting a parking ticket when I was picking up my sister. Yes, I was inside for about 10 minutes, but we timed it perfectly by walking out as miss parking attendant lady was getting ready to ticket me. I just smiled at her as I walked up, figuring if I did get a ticket, I'd at least make her day by not yelling at her. She said she'd let me off this time, so I continued to chat her up and ended with a thank you. Totally awesome. Thanks lady!

2 - Playing volleyball, and totally kicking butt. Sure we're playing against teams where 89% haven't really played before, but there were only 4 on my team, and we did awesome! And I got to play with my sis who I've never played with before. We were amazing. I even got a couple of nice bruises, and I'm sore and out of shaped (despite consistently working out.)

3 - When I went to drop my sis off at her dorm, we were finishing up our conversation when some random girl opened the back door and started to get in. Kenz and I just kind of stopped talking and turned to look at her. She was on the phone, and suddenly looked up and said, "This isn't the right car." Nope hun, it's not, but thanks for the laugh!

Great night...

changes...

...i decided i was in need of a change, so i chopped my hair.

but, i'm too lazy to post pictures, so you'll have to wait to see it.

but hopefully it will bring on a few other changes.

i don't know what they are, or what they will be, but

i do plan on having/making some changes other than just physical ones.

(even though hair is the EASIEST one for change)

anywho. just thought I'd share! the end!

(and because I thought this was cute...and it's kinda springy outside...)
{courtesy SuzyQ Scraps} - love her!

3.22.2011

life lately

Haven't been up to a whole lot lately.

Work is, well, work. It's been a crazy couple of days, a couple that i hope not to repeat anytime soon. Here's hoping tomorrow is a little better.

I've been slacking on my working out, but hopefully that will change SOON (Mel?)

Can't wait for this weekend. I have Saturday AND Sunday off...plus Monday AND Tuesday! I work 2 Saturdays on, 1 off, so I appreciate any Saturdays I get off, plus a couple of days.

Our pipes are totally broken. Luckily the important one that broke SUNDAY was able to be "fixed." The others...well, let's just say our lawn might not ever get watered this summer.

I woke up today thinking it was Thursday...realized it wasn't, then kinda freaked because I thought it was Wednesday...and I had treats for our morning meeting at work.

The weather is wigging me out. (If that expression even works!) Not gonna lie, I really wish it would just rain (or snow) all day every day! (okay more rain for the all-day-every-day)...but still.

I think that's about it.

Another Christmas Tag

Alright, so I'm sorry this is lame. I don't have much to blog. I could post some pics, but I am too lazy right now to get them on my computer....I'll maybe do that later tonight. We'll see...for now.... (I'm pretty sure I did this one last year...oh well!) Enjoy anyway...

1. Do you like hot chocolate or egg nog?
Definitely hot chocolate...though I've actually never had any egg nog...just doesn't sound good, so I won't try it...
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree?
Wraps them...It's more fun that way, even if you already know what it is...
3. Colored or white lights on tree/house?
COLORED!!! What's with white lights all you lame-o people!!! :)
4. When do you put up your decorations?
Well...this year we did it the second week in November. It would have been sooner, but my in-laws stayed the night around the 11, and since we didn't want them to have to sleep under the tree...but usually sometime in early November when we get the Halloween lights down...
5. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Uhhh.....Nothing really jumps out at me...I just always loved getting treats from our family friends...
6. What is your favorite holiday memory from your childhood?
I think it will always be decorating Gram's Christmas tree. I don't know why, but that was always the funnest. Going to the SCARY basement to get the trunks of decorations, the tinsel that always got all over us, the mistle toe, then singing Christmas songs when we were done. I loved it! Also, me and Brady sleeping in each others rooms (or the younger kids in our rooms) and waking up at like 2 in the AM (really!) and watching "A Christmas Story" over and over...We did that up until I left home...haha
7. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve?
Sure thing!
8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
Ummm...lights, and random ornaments. While I think trees that are coordinated (I don't know another word..) are really pretty, I prefer just the randomness.
9. Snow! Love it or dread it?
I love it! I wish it would SNOW a whole lot more than it is! It's driving me CRAZY!
10. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I don't remember a single favorite. I had lots. I got a bracelet making kit, stamp kit, my first digital camera, all my crafty/scrapbooking stuff, then in the past few years, my nice digital camera, and my tablet for my computer...But all my Christmases have been great, it's hard to single out a favorite!
11. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Giving/service....and spending time with my hubby!
12. What is your favorite Christmas dessert?
Probably sugar cookies? I don't know....
13. What tops your tree?
There is a star on ours
14. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving?
I like both, but prefer to give. Though I don't actually buy it, everytime I shop, I find things to buy for anyone and everyone...
15. What is your favorite Christmas song?
I think Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is You" song is a fave...but hymn-wise, I like Joy to the World and I like playing With Wandering Awe (?) They're all faves though. Just not lame ones that people thing they are clever to write, but in reality they suck! :)
16.Candy canes?
Just the miniature ones. Not a huge fan though...
17. Secret Santa?
I loved doing the 12 Days of Christmas when I was younger.
18. Favorite Christmas movie?
A Christmas Story, Elf
19. Can you ice skate?
I haven't been ice skating since I was about 10. I don't actually remember how old I was, but it was like the only year they made an ice skating rink in Cokeville.
20. Have you experienced a Christmas miracle?
....Maybe? That's a good questions....I'll be thinking about that one for a while...

I tag anyone who wants to do this!

12.19.2008

I Give....

I was going to wait and let Shari & Ben post this, BUT....Ben's sisters already shared the good news on their side, so I'm going to do it on my side...I'm sure Ben & Shari have a million X2 pictures, so they can share them in due time...Here are the twins....

**EDITED TO ADD**
My SIL just posted this on her blog, so I hope it's okay to post on mine now. 12.14.2008

12.02.2008

What a stud!

So, I already posted about my cousin, but my cousin Emily had this posted on her blog, so I stole it to stick on mine so I can show off my studly cousin! :) This pic makes me laugh, and for some reason every time I see the Greg Oden commercial...I think of Brandon...Maybe cuz he's so goofy?! lol...oh well...If you're in the Provo area, be sure to catch some of his games and cheer really loud for him!

as well as this article in the Daily Herald newspaper

The list starts with Bulldog senior center Brandon Davies -- who has already committed to BYU -- and junior forward/guard Kyle Collinsworth, both of whom have the ability to be strong at the next level.

"Brandon Davies is a 6-foot-10 kid that can run," Drury said. "He has a four-star ranking, one of the highest Utah has had in the last few years. He might be a better college player than high school player because he's still growing, so his upside is tremendous. He maybe the best shot blocker I've had in a long time.

Haha, I just love this kid, and I wish him the best of luck this year, and in years to come. Good luck Brandon! I love ya, and there's no one else I'd rather stick up for when being accused by stupid Flying J ladies, and there's no one else I'd let drive my car late at night, though you don't have your license! :)

12.01.2008

This made me laugh...**EDITED**

Haha, I stole this from my parents blog, but I thought it was way funny. This is my cousin Brandon (a 6'9" senior in HIGH SCHOOL), with my little brother Kennan.

You may not find it as funny as I do, but I wanted to share...Brandon just signed to play basketball at BYU next year... I will forgive him for that! (haha...I actually don't really care...but still...) anyway. Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. I did, but didn't take any pictures....oh well!

11-20 of 100 things about Bre

Decided to do this since my blog is in need of an update...(It's been at least a day or two!)

#11: Ever since I got married, I can't eat a ton of chocolate and ice cream. Still love it, but I can't eat it like I used to...(That's not saying that I don't still eat a lot....just not as much! :)

#12: I hate filing my nails, I hate THINKING about filing my nails, I can't stand watching or listening to other people file their nails, and I can't stand thinking about other people filing their nails...

#13: I hate shaving my legs...I could easily go 3 weeks without doing it (and I do!) my poor hubby....

#14: I love listening to Greg's silly songs that he makes words up to and all the weird nicknames he has for me..(He has a new one every day...)

#15: I use ... way too much. Even when I text...

#16: I know I've used this one before, but I really don't like talking on the phone. I would prefer to email or text, but I DO NOT like talking on the phone. If you need to talk on the phone, call, leave a message (cuz I most likely won't answer), and I will get back to you...

#17: I HATE scary movies. HATE HATE HATE them! Any time we watch one I will turn and bury my head in Greg's chest. It doesn't even matter if they are totally cheesy, predictable movies. I just don't like to watch them!

#18: I love clipping my toe nails. I know that's totally disgusting, but I really enjoy it. haha

#19: Speaking of disgusting...I pick at everything...zits, scabs, etc...even if they're not mine..(I don't do it a lot, and it's only to Greg that I do! ha)

#20: I love my hair (and at the same time I don't always love my hair, but...)...doesn't matter the length, cut or color, I love it. I have been blessed with really healthy hair. It's kinda funny cuz back in the day when I would color it all the time, people would always tell me my hair was gonna fall out, but it hasn't, and it's always healthy...I get compliments on how soft it is all the time, and now I'm sounding vain, so it's time to go update a different blog or something!!

For #1-10, click <--HERE--> and as always...be sure to stop <--HERE-->!

11.17.2008

I just want to play my music... ***EDITED***

So, I found this fun tag on some random person's blog...(I'm telling you, I am the BIGGEST blog stalker!) But I thought it would be fun, and I like my readers to be interactive, so....be sure to guess...no matter who you are. Even if YOU are a blog stalker!

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 songs that play (no matter how embarrassing)
Step 3: Strike through the song when someone guesses the artist and song title correctly (Artist isn't necessary, but kudos if you know).
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or another search engine is CHEATING! However, if you think you know it, but can't remember the name, and you have it on your iTunes (music player) I will allow you to try and find it there...

I'm going to bold the ones that have already been correctly guessed, so don't guess those ones.

Also, there is a variety of songs...most of them are pop/alternative rock, but there are a few country (maybe one or two?) just so you know though...

Happy Birthday Sister!!!

So, 27 (i think) years ago today, my oldest sister Shari was born. Though I remember nothing of that special day, I'm sure it was wonderful. I just wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday and tell her that although I didn't call...I didn't forget...You'll just have to wait until you get your card. But I still love you, and hope you had a happy day, and I hope Ben and Lilli spoiled you rotten. You deserve it!! Love you lots sister!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
