I kicked off August in the hospital. I had a Right Heart Catheterization that you can read all about {here}. That was an exciting adventure. It was quick, easy, and I got to lay in a hospital for about 5 hours. I survived with just a tiny stab wound.
One of our August highlights happened late at night, as Greg and I were reading before bed I noticed a spider on the wall. Now, let the record show that all I said was, "There is a spider." I did not freak out, or scream. I literally said that and it was done. Greg is the one who shot up and then proceeded to strip the bed in search of Mr. Spider. We had to take the entire mattress off before finding the little guy and giving him a swirly. It was late, I was tired, but it was funny.
Greg got to start school early. He actually started going in towards the last part of July, but I officially had to start dropping him off, and picking him up about two weeks ago. I can't believe it's already school again. What happened to summer?
So, as you know, I love my job, however that doesn't mean that sometimes I get extremely frustrated and just want to quit. The reasons for me being so frustrated probably wouldn't make any sense to anyone, so who knows if I ever get into it. I might over on my Sclero-what? blog, but I don't know. I'm still torn as to how I really feel. Love my co-workers, and the job itself. Just.....frustrated!
Anyway, after one of our morning meetings, I was ranting to Greg about it, and since he very rarely just lets me complain, he sent me this text:
He's the best!!
I've spent a lot of time this summer out on our porch swing. I spend so much dang time indoors, and it's quite difficult for me to do anything outside alone, so the porch has been a great place for me to go and relax. Of course, I still have to have Greg nearby as I can't quite get out of the swing by myself. It's been great though.
This last Thursday we had our Relief Society activity. We did an ice cream social to celebrate the end of summer. We had a decent turnout, which is always nice. It was fun talking with the older sisters. They have some great stories and personalities.
And Greg got to be my big helper this activity. Thanks hun!
Let's see. Controversial topics coming soon...
How to properly raise your children.
Breastfeeding in public
Leggings
Just kidding. We'll have to see what type of mood this week brings, I do have some thoughts on motherhood that I'd like to share....

The End of March
So, March has kind of flown by. Wow! It's been a good month. I think...so let's do a quick recap of March.
I got my hair done. We have the cutest couple who come into the credit union, and I have her do my hair. She always is so sweet, and does an awesome job. We just trimmed it up, then did a blend. (Dark on top, slowly fades to lighter brown with hints of blonde throughout). It turned out super cute. Too bad I can't ever do it as cute as she can.
Had our Relief Society Birthday dinner. We had a great turn out, and had lots of fun cleaning and washing a million pie tins and mason jars. (Okay, I actually slowly walked around gathering things, but could only carry so much so I didn't drop anything). I was on my feet all night so my hip hurt me throughout the next few days.
My credit union finally rolled out it's new online banking and mobile app. Yes we're a bit behind the times, but they finally did it, and we are so happy about it. It was a slow few days, and it was actually kind of nice.
We have started watching The Walking Dead. First season totally dragged on, and there were only six episodes. Hopefully the next seasons are better.
Last, last Friday, I opted to stay home due to massive pains in my back and leg. Turns out I got shingles. Hooray for immune suppressing medicine! Yeah, that hasn't been fun.
I stayed home all this last week, and finally on Wednesday I decided to get Netflix so I can watch Pretty Little Liars, since I was in bed so much. I read the books, and they were weird, and I kind of feel like this first season drags on. But I'm into it, so I have to watch. I'll post more about my shingles experience over on my Sclero-what? blog.
And that brings us to today. I decided to stay home again, because I plan to go to work tomorrow, and need all the strength and energy I can muster. Hopefully it doesn't turn out too bad. We shall see. Happy spring everyone, even if the crazy weather doesn't agree.
Oh, and just putting it out there, if anyone wants a blog makeover, let me know. I get bored sometimes and would love to create the fun "about me" graphics and headers. Just let me know! (FB me or something.)

September thru today
Wow. October is almost over. Crazy. I haven't even blogged about September yet. There wasn't too much that happened in September though. I did go to the doctor finally, but I'm still working on the post for that one. The best part of September was going to the One Direction movie. I would have gladly gone by myself, but Greg had my sis-in-law Shaina go with me. We had fun. I loved it, though I wish they would have done more interviews with the boys, but it's okay. I'm excited for the video to come out...WITH extras. Merry Christmas to me! It was fabulous. I can't wait to watch it over and over.
October has been a bit more busy. I feel like there has been something every single day, and there almost has been. I also think I've missed more work this month than in any of the months previous. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about that. Good thing I've got 3 years worth of sick accrued. On the 1st, I took a bit of a tumble. I was leaving work, and I stepped off the curb, and honestly, all I remember after that is taking two steps and knowing I was going down. I couldn't do anything to catch myself, so I just fell. Kind of hard. I caught myself with my head at least. It hurt like crazy. I didn't know what to do so I just curled up in a ball praying that A. No one would run me over, and B. someone would come out of the CU to help me. Luckily there was a college kid who drove by and stopped to help. He was super nice, and he helped me stand up and go into the CU. It was totally embarrassing. My boss drove me to get Greg, then I went home and just slept. My head was killing me. I missed the next three days of work. I was just so dizzy and was a bit nervous to drive or even be at work. I needed the rest.
From that time on, I had either tests or church stuff every single night. For Greg's fall break I took a few days off work and we went to Star Valley where we (I guess just me) sat around and did nothing. It was fabulous. Sleep in, take naps, watch TV. Super great. I was sad when it was over.
Just been busy with random stuff since then. I'm looking forward to November and the holidays.

How I'd Like...
to see myself...
Let's see...happy, healthy, and something else. But mostly healthy. I'd love to be able to do the things I used to be able to do. Things like simply scratching that itch on your back, or putting on socks, clipping your toenails, or the list could go on. I keep hoping it'll all pass, because somedays are definitely better than others. But if I could see myself one way...it would definitely be healthy!
